Dr Jason Dittmer is Reader in Human Geography at University College London. He is the author of Captain America and the Nationalist Superhero: Metaphors, Narratives, and Geopolitics (2013) and Popular Culture, Geopolitics, and Identity (2010). His current research is on everyday diplomacies and the emergence of geopolitical assemblages.
