Stunning Sociology this autumn!

Five outstanding speakers will provide insights, support and fresh new confidence to all students studying A-level Sociology. Come to our immersive Sociology in Action event for an experience of a lifetime as you explore a wide range of fascinating and stimulating sociological topics. The programme will address relevant A-level themes as diverse as crime and gender, race, disability, beliefs in society and globalisation.

We are delighted to be joined by one of the most prominent figures in modern sociology today Professor Lord Anthony Giddens, together with leading sociologist, social scientist and disability studies expert Professor Sir Tom Shakespeare CBE. We are thrilled to welcome Professor Kalwant Bhopal to talk about the Black Lives Matter movement and Dr Marian Duggan with a brand new and highly topical session on gender-based crime.

The day will also include a handy lunchtime exam session for all A-level students given by teacher and examiner Lauren Humbles. With plenty of opportunities for questions throughout the day, students are guaranteed to leave armed with new insights and information to take back to the classroom.

One more exciting speaker to announce!
