Daniel Charny is an internationally recognised Creative Director and Professor of Design at Kingston University.  Daniel has curated major shows for the Design Museum and the V&A. He is the founder of Fixperts and received an MBE for services to design and creativity.

Anna Ploszajski is a materials scientist, author, presenter and science comedian who is on a mission to get people fascinated by the ordinary stuff which makes up the world around us. Her book Handmade tells the story of materials through their use in arts and crafts.

In this exciting two-part session, Pascal will explore and demonstrate the creativity and resourcefulness a designer needs when approaching any design situation. Students will then be involved in a collective creative exercise.

About Wayne Hemingway

Fashion designer, Wayne Hemingway MBE, set up Hemingway Design with his wife, Gerardine, after they sold Red or Dead. His design vision is to ‘improve things that matter in life’. This has taken him from fashion to affordable housing and interior and furniture ranges.  He is currently a Youth Ambassador for the Mayor of London’s Team London project and chairman of Building for Life.

What is a designer, and is there a process? Bibi Nelson, Bare Conductive

After studying Design, Bibi has suspended 1000 LEDs above an Aston Martin, manufactured over 5000 litres of paint and spent 32 hours watching bedbugs. She’ll explain how these are related and ask you to decide whether she’s a designer.
