Dr Varyl Thorndycraft has been Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography at Royal Holloway since 2006. He joined RHUL after working for six years at the Spanish Scientific Research Council in Madrid. His research interests include the reconstruction of flood behaviour over recent millennia and he has research experience on rivers in the UK, Spain, Chile and South Africa.
