Artist

Stuart Pearson Wright is one of the UK’s leading portrait artists. He studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and has won the National Portrait Gallery’s BP travel award.  In 2001 he went on to win first prize in the BP Portrait Awards for his painting ‘Gallus gallus with Still Life and Presidents’. The National Portrait Gallery subsequently acquired his portraits of John Hurt, Adam Cooper and J K Rowling and since then his paintings have been exhibited across the globe. His work has recently extended to include film, sculpture and music.
