Professor Paul Freemont is co-founder of the EPSRC Centre for Synthetic Biology and Innovation at Imperial College London as well as the newly formed UK national Innovation and Knowledge Centre for Synthetic Biology. Previous to this he was head of the Division of Molecular Biosciences at Imperial and Principal Scientist at the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute and is author of over 160 peer-reviewed scientific publications on the molecular mechanisms of human disease.
