I am currently Professor of Chemistry Education and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. I have been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship alongside a number of other Teaching Awards. I have also been awarded a Doctor of Science degree (Higher Doctorate) for my research in Applied Spectroscopy. I have taught at University of Reading since 1986 and teach at all parts of the degree programme in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry. I am a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry and Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy.
