Prosthetic and make-up artist

Mark Coulier is Creative Director of one of Europe’s leading make-up effects companies, Coulier Creature FX.  He started out as a freelance scuptor and make-up artist and went on to be involved in a wealth of film projects, including Alien III, Star Wars and The Mummy.  In 2000 he began a ten-year project overseeing the creation and development of Lord Voldemort and other characters in the Harry Potter movies.  He has worked on TV series including Little Britain and Merlin as well as films Coriolanus, Rush and the Nelson Mandela biopic Long Walk to Freedom.  He won both Oscar and Bafta awards in 2012 for his work on Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady and in 2014 repeated this success, receiving Oscar and Bafta awards for his work on Tilda Swinton in The Grand Budapest Hotel.
