Jeremy Deller is an English artist known for the breadth and variety of his output. He acts as curator, producer or director of a broad range of projects, including orchestrated events, films and publications. He represented Britain at the 2013 Venice Biennale with a thought-provoking exhibition focusing on the cultural and political history of British society. At the root of his work is a fascination with exploring social injustice and urban culture. He was awarded the 2004 Turner Prize for his film Memory Bucket, which documents a journey through Texas.
