Jacek is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Southampton, where he is the Director of the new Centre for Geometry, Topology, and Applications. He is fascinated by the way Pure Mathematics can be used to solve difficult problems in Medicine, Biology, and the Sciences. He strongly believes that there has never been a better time to study mathematics than it is now.
