Maths in Action is coming back to Warwick University this autumn
Featuring talks on flight engineering, probability, statistics in the news and the maths of going viral on social media, Maths in Action on the November 9th promises to have something for everyone.
We are pleased to welcome Sophie Harker to speak about ‘The Future of Flight’ and Kyle Evans to explore the numbers behind viral videos. Joining them, we have Emily Grossman who will be stunning us with statistics and Beth Romano who will show how a game involving different coloured hats can be used to represent error correction in data transfer. Bobby Seagull returns to chair the event and bring his television quiz show experience to entertaining and puzzling your students throughout the day.
As we return to in-person events, Maths in Action continues to feature lively and enriching sessions exploring a variety of topics carefully designed to extend students’ knowledge. A session on examination success will equip students with the tools to succeed.
