GCSE English in Action returns!

We are thrilled to announce that our spectacular GCSE English in Action events will be returning to both London and the Midlands this autumn. These information-packed and highly enjoyable programmes have been carefully crafted to inspire and support students studying GCSE English Language and Literature across all boards. Our incredible speakers include English language experts and experienced examiners who will address multiple sections of these vital examinations. They will enthuse, entertain and encourage students, ensuring they leave the day equipped with the skills and confidence to excel.

This year, our programmes will be even more interactive and stimulating, with each event culminating in a stunning poetry reading presented by an award-winning poet. Our exciting speakers this year will include renowned poet Grace Nichols (London), whose work is widely studied and has been central to our understanding of the Caribbean-British cultural connections for many decades. We are equally thrilled to welcome back award-winning poet and playwright John Agard (Midlands), with an unforgettable and exciting performance of his poems followed by an audience Q&A.

This exciting day will include sessions on unseen poetry, non-fiction texts and creative writing as well as an interactive presentation on the context, characters and themes in Shakespeare’s set plays. Watch out for further speaker announcements!
