Economics in Action returns to London this autumn!
Featuring talks on behaviour, labour markets, green policy and economics indicators, Economics in Action, in London and Online on November 26th, promises to have something for everyone.
We are pleased to welcome Christian Spielmann to speak on ‘Policies for a greener future’, looking at whether government policy can really combat climate change. He will be joined by Ayeisha Thomas-Smith, exploring the origins of GDP as a means of measuring economics growth. Maja Gustafsson, from the Resolution Foundation, will look at the impact COVID-19 has had on the labour market, with particular reference to intergenerational fairness. Introducing us to behavioural economics and insights, Lal Chadeesingh explains how behavioural science can help governments and businesses set policy and solve social problems.
As we return to in-person events, Economics in Action continues to feature lively and enriching sessions exploring a variety of topics carefully designed to extend students’ knowledge. A session on examination success from Peter Jordan will equip students with the tools to succeed. With Bobby Seagull chairing the day and sharing some of his own experiences working in the world of finance, this is a day not to be missed!
