Meet Cornelia Parker CBE RA!

Join us for an exceptional opportunity to meet four leading artists who excel in their fields, hear them discuss their artistic ideas and enjoy a Q&A at the end of each session. As ever, we are planning a thrilling day to include a stellar line-up of innovative artists from a range of artistic disciplines who are ready to explain their processes and their motivation, drawing upon a wealth of experience gained from working in the creative industries.

This year we are excited to welcome acclaimed sculptor and installation artist Cornelia Parker CBE RA, who will discuss the inspirations and influences behind some of her best-known works, and answer questions from the audience. Cornelia is one of Britain’s most acclaimed artists. She was shortlisted for the Turner Prize and was also the first female artist to be commissioned to create an artwork for the roof garden of the New York Met, with Transitional Object (Psychobarn). She was once again the first woman when she was chosen as the 2017 official election artist. She will discuss the influences and ideas behind her work and reveal the secrets behind her remarkable ability to transform ordinary objects into something compelling and extraordinary.

We are planning three other inspiring sessions to cover a fantastic mix of topics including photography and fine art. Don’t miss out on this popular programme featuring the cream of Britain’s top artistic talent, a day guaranteed to leave your students buzzing with fresh ideas and renewed self-confidence!
